The world of Mageo is a vast and complex place filled with many exciting adventures and wealth-building opportunities throughout its far-flung reaches. But at the end of a long day of exploring and colonizing virgin islands, and hunting beasts, it’s your home island, and specifically your residence there, where you’ll come to organize your affairs, relax and plan future escapades.
There’s a certain comfort and familiarity in designing your own home, and you should take advantage of these features as they are not only an important way to express your individuality, but spending on your home’s appearance also adds to your wealth and overall position on our leaderboards.
Keep in mind, when you earn coins and Mageons they do not contribute to your wealth until you actually put them back into the Mageo economy by spending them on stuff like goods and tools. Just as buying all the clothing items for a cool, new costume for your Avatar contributes to your wealth, redesigning your residence is yet another way to spend, express yourself and build wealth all at the same time.
To get started on a home redesign, go to the gate of your residence (you can select “Residences” in the Teleport to go directly there), and use the pull-down menu (see above), where you can access all of the residence skins: for your garden, gate, interior and the building itself. Start with your garden, and select how you want it to look. If you want something like a royal garden, select the Louvre theme. If you’re in the mood for something from the Wild West, select a theme like Fall garden. Also, select a gate. It’s the first thing visitors will see when they arrive at your residence. So, think about what kind of first impression you want to leave on them.
And, of course, the building itself is one of the biggest statements you can make. So have a look through the 20 or so building styles before picking the one that best fits your personality. Buildings run the gamut of styles, from traditional Castle and Victorian palaces to more modern recent architectural themes such as Mies and Fallingwater, and even eco options such as Earthship.
For the actual interior of your home, there are options for every taste. You can choose something practical and comfortable, like Clockwork or Dark wood. You can dress it up like a hunting lodge with Hunter, and several of the themes have cozy fireplaces that add a certain charm. Or go more extravagant with palatial themes such as Pillars or Fountain.
Keep in mind, aesthetic decisions are never set in stone in Mageo, and we don’t put any unnecessary limits on your imagination. A design decision can always be quickly undone or changed for a special occasion, like if you want your home, gardens and interiors to have a gothic theme for Halloween, for instance. Whatever choices you make, we’re sure that you will enjoy designing your home! You are, after all, the master of your domain.
