Mageo is all about having fun and freely expressing yourself. Our geolocation-based game is also a powerful social platform where people from all over the world gather to make friends and discuss whatever’s on their mind: from game strategy to the latest news, memes, gossip, and more.
One of our first goals has been to implement a robust, emoji-based reaction system that goes way beyond what other platforms offer, allowing users to visually express exactly what they’re feeling. To that end, we’re excited to introduce a new energy-based scheme for reacting to posts and all items in the Mageo world. This new system rewards you when post popular content, allowing other members to react to your content with high-powered energies that can be downloaded to your battery and used however you want.
There are 5 categories and a total of 106 energies in Mageo, and they have always played a central role in our game’s structure and economy. With this revamp, we have updated the look of our bless energies and made all 54 of them available to use as social reactions. Now, when you react to a post or item, you will see the wheel (image above) with 9 bless energy categories. Click one and you will get a sub-menu with 6 options for each category (see below).
Bless energies are man-made and can be acquired by drinking potions or farming. Level one energies are free to use as reactions any time and are not withdrawn from your battery. When you click a category, how much of each of the 6 energies you have will be displayed. If you don’t have the one you want to use in your battery, higher level energies can be bought on the spot for a Mageon. Just look for the blue diamond-shaped Mageon symbol on that energy and click through to acquire and use it. Keep in mind, however, that it is less expensive to these energies in the normal course of the game, by drinking potions or farming.
To absorb energies that you’ve received from other members, go to you’re profile and find the Energies section (above). If you have energies to download, the bank will light up green and the number available will be listed. The bank has a limit of 20 but will continue to accumulate past that. If you exceed the limit, you will be able to download the 20 most high-powered energies, and the remainder will be lost. So be sure to check your energy bank frequently.
