One of the most valuable items you can acquire in Mageo is a new airship. You are supplied with a beginner’s airship (level 1) when you sign up, which is good for getting around, but to build an empire, capture the largest of the wild beasts and make a real run up our leaderboards, you should make it a part of your strategy to upgrade your airship as soon as you can.
You can actually own as many airships as you can afford, and their sale price is listed either in coins or Mageons, our in-game currency. Since they are big-ticket items, each one that you acquire will significantly add to your overall wealth and position on the leaderboards.
Shop around for a new airship by visiting any Mageo nexus. You’ll find an airship seller at the Technopark of each nexus. It’s a good idea to visit several shops on different nexuses as they all offer different models and pricing. Deals change frequently at each shop, so be sure to come back if you don’t find what you’re looking for.
What to Look For When Shopping:
The price of a new airship is determined by its skill level and flamboyance index. In the example to the left, on top, we are looking at a Racer Barbie airship, which is level 3, and this one has a flamboyance index (our way of measuring how luxurious it is) of 2. As you can see, it costs 370 Mageons, which is a reasonable price and a serious upgrade over the starter airship.
Other airships are available in this shop at different prices, and the main difference is usually that the more expensive the airship, the bigger the cargo hold, meaning that you will be able to capture larger beasts on virgin islands and transport them. Remember, airships are your ticket to discovering, colonizing and conquering the world around you. Mageo closely resembles the real world, with virtual parallels mirroring your physical surroundings. Using the Mageo app on your cell phone with geo-location services turned on, you can use your airship to explore and claim the physical space around you. When we open the info card for the Racer Barbie airship, we can also see how much (image below) it will contribute to your overall wealth (16,400) and flamboyance level (8,200), and how much cargo it can hold (800).
This is a medium-sized airship and a nice upgrade, but if you are really serious about challenging for the top of our leaderboards, aim high, for level 6. It will take some time and diligence to earn the Mageos to reach levels 5 and 6. So, beginners should set their goals on the more attainable lower level airships when getting started and work their way over time towards the most luxurious airships. That same advice also applies to other aspects of the game, such as acquiring tools, attaching skills to them, and advancing in the different careers and jobs. The first 4 levels are relatively easy to reach, but levels 5 and 6 require a bit more of a commitment.
Also, in the Technopark you will find a shop that sells airship accessories, which range from smiley faces to full-on engine boosters. Consider picking those up for your airships as they will definitely make you stand out and impress your fellow citizens of Mageo, and they add to your status, wealth and position on the leaderboards.
